February 3rd 2007 (Front Lounge) and August 16th (Leixlip Library) "Women in Focus" exhibition
Art Exhibition Take a step back in time to the 1930's! Catch an exhibition celebrating the style and essence of women in the 1930's through the medium of Photography. This exhibition explores women as strong independent yet sensual role models. Artistic influences of the era include Edward Steichen, Edward Weston, and Horst P Horst. Each photograph has been taken using a Hasselblad 6x6cm medium format camera and printed in black and white to a 24" x 24" size. This unique size helps to focus attention in particular on the subjects face thus creating a mood within which the expression plays an important role in defining each photograph.
